I found this article very insightful and will put some of the tips into practice at work. I especially like the advice to pause after making a point.

Good article and there were some interesting pointers I could use such as how to interject to voice my opinion in a fast-paced meeting or how to make networking events more comfortable and meaningful for myself by targeting a small number of influential individuals. Also noticed there were a few things that I already do like having a quiet time that I can work alone and recharge or preparing a few contributory facts / feedback prepared ahead of a meeting.

I am an introverts. I can not agree more for this articles. During the meetings, some people is very actively talking or can provide comments at the 1st place. I will tend to listen and think hard before react. this cause one disadvantage when the meeting pacing is fast and you might lose the chance to state your opinions. in such instances, we should really be self-aware. for important meeting with key stakeholders, come to the meeting with sufficient preparation and make sure you have good idea to share is a very good advice.
on the other hand, I think to build up relationship, have meaningful one on one meetings or conversations, set up on the calendar the target of small group socialization is what I could take back to me work and help me to gain better influence within the organization.
