What is AICPA | CIMA Competency and Learning?

The AICPA | CIMA Competency and Learning site offers self-assessment and aggregated learning content and products to CGMAs, CPAs, AICPA and CIMA members, and other accounting and finance professionals. Users can find learning content through site navigation and search, or by completing a self-assessment or knowledge check. Learning content can be viewed immediately or you can add items to your learning plan for future consumption and reflection. All registered users can create learning plans that can be accessed through the My Learning portion of the profile, allowing for the tracking of CPD/CPE, and reporting to employers and CIMA.

How do I log in?

Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of any page on the site. AICPA and CIMA members and registered users can log in with their existing credentials. Non-members can register with the AICPA as non-member users for limited access to profile functionality. All users can conduct searches to see the breadth of content and product available. Much of the content is offered as a benefit of membership of the AICPA or CIMA, or as a benefit of the CGMA designation.

Why can’t I access specific content?

Much of the content on this site is offered as a benefit of membership of the AICPA or CIMA, or as a benefit of the CGMA designation. Products are available for all users to purchase, often at discounted rates for AICPA members.

Can I share my badges on social-media sites?

At this time, the badges earned on this site are only viewable to other registered users. As our badging functionality changes, we will add sharing capabilities via social media.

What is the CGMA designation?

Two of the world’s most prestigious accounting bodies, AICPA and CIMA, have formed a joint venture to establish the Chartered Global Management Accountant® (CGMA®) designation to elevate and build recognition of the profession of management accounting. This international designation recognizes the most talented and committed management accountants with the discipline and skill to drive strong business performance. CGMA designation holders are either CPAs with qualifying management-accounting experience or associate or fellow members of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
