Starting with adding specific ways to avoid bias in hiring and interactions will start the mindset shift.  Internal bias may not change, but defined actions will lead to better outcomes.

Appreciate the summary.  The building, training and use of AI threatens to further embed bias in applicable systems in the absence of counter-balancing bias modifiers.  Tools and training that support employees & managers to appreciate their inherent biases and allow them to be able to check themselves and there organization's biases are fundamental to shifting the needle.

Working in healthcare, where various professions traditionally skew in different gender directions - Nursing/female and Medical/Male - the importance of breaking the gender bias seems at least in part to ensure diversity of thought and approach both in terms of delivery as well as supporting society to diversify who (male/female) is 'best' at delivering aspects of care.
