I have just started a new team and one of those is going to be mainly a remote worker.  This article has given me a few tips on how to make this person feel included, especially the point about everybody being on a call solo.

When i have been in meetings where only one person is on the telephone joining in the rest of the meeting is still operating on a visual basis IE when to know one person has stopped talking and you can then raise a point. The outcome was that the person on the phone did not really take part and was just listening in.
