This article has taught me that thorough preparation and listening are key for successful negotiations. Negotiations can help an organisation cut costs, increase profits and on a personal level can help an individual to earn more, have more free time and build better relationships.

Before a negotiation it is important to calculate different variables, such as target price and walkaway price. I believe that I could negotiate better as I would improve preparation.
