The article pointed out that in 2025, most of the world's middle-class would be concentrated in Asia, Africa, and Latin-America.
Working in North America, we often take a North American-centric view of "world" business and focus too intently on the U.S. and the state of its economy. This article offered a good reminder that in less than a decade, the population in the three aforementioned continents will be 10 times larger than the U.S. and demands the focus from the rest of the world.
We must carefully position our business now to try to take advantage of this. As people is often the backbone of any business, we must assemble a diverse team where its members are made up of different age, gender, background, or ethnicity. The more diverse the team, the higher the potential it has to create innovative ideas.
