The Treasurer's handbook - guide to risk management

David Blackwood, Synthomer plc |   Free |   The Association of Corporate Treasurers |   Oct 2014 |   www.treasurers.org

This article argues that an investigation into financial risk in a firm cannot be made in isolation and increasingly treasury must come out of its silo and manage financial risks in the context of the firm. It describes how Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) facilitates this by taking an integrated approach to risk management whilst highlighting that it can be difficult to conceive and even more difficult to implement.
