Enjoyed the quote regarding chase two rabbits and will not catch one.
However, often with innovation sometimes a failure can provide as much learning as success, so need to understand the costs associated with trial and error.
Working in the public sector with constraints on contract awards, it is satisfying to see that many of the suggrestions regarding sgtrategic partnerships, working with customeres and puttting our challenge statements are currently in use in goverment organissations to support the drive for furhter innovation

Key goal

To motivate teams through innovation.
Allow team members to be innovative and creative in their own way  and reward the best ideas as a form of motivation.

This is a good video exploring motivation ideas. The key takeaway for me is linking innovation with recognition and reward.

What competency did I develop?
A reinforcement of motivation techniques.

What can I do now that I couldn't do before?
This was more revision than new learning, so I don't think I learned anything new.

Did I meet my objectives?
In that this was good revision, yes but I didn't learn any new trick apart from the phrase, "if you chase two rabbits you will catch none".

What will be the impact on my wider team, organisation and career?
This reinforces what I believe is good practice and I will review the linkage of innovation to recognition and rewards. This has already been done with engineering and product development teams but should be spread more widely. This should lead to a more motivated and successful team and organisation.

I liked two ideas from this video:
1) We need to distinguish between creativity and innovation.
So, I would say that in fact, it is all about being innovative. Being creative is not enough.
2) If we chase two rabbits, they will both get away.
