A good reminder of what could go wrong  bearing in mind the vital importance of information to any business.

Clearly the details will  vary  with device and size of system but it must be known and backups practiced regularly. No point in a business going back to a backup that is even a week old let alone older.  Guidance needs to be given to employees  in most organisations  whereas  corporate databases  should be managed with  the IT section and done routinely  automatically. These employees need to keep up their CPD / latest knowledge  just as much, if not more so than any other section  / department  of any company.
