Far too many online websites appear to want to collect data and do this under the guise of using it to enhance your use of that website however this is in my opinion really for them to be able to use your personal data to sell you stuff at a later point.

The variety of Big Data coupled with its velocity is so vast that small sized organisations struggle to keep pace. Yet when they do, then the need to ensure data protection is even more vital.

I have learnt that companies that collect PII must make their terms and conditions quite easy to read and understand so that data subjects can appreciate the risks they are exposing themselves to.
