An interesting read touching the important points that relevant in employee's moral and the culture to be inculcated in the organisation. Take home point for me is the importance of choosing the right people. This includes concentrating and spending more time in the interviewing process which will enable in choosing the right candidate.

This article describes the 5 ways to win employee engagement as;
- Listen to employees
- Communicate the vision
- Train and develop staff
- Recognise good work
- Hire the right people

I have learnt that employee engagement begins right from the hiring process and is a continual process. If employees are engaged then the company can benefit from better performance, improved client or customer satisfaction and increased revenue.

As a manager it is important to listen to employees, provide feedback, train and develop them and to recognise good work.

This company is amazing. I think this is what every company should strive to do. It takes a lot of effort to put in place such a splendid working environment. Putting in place such a working environment requires management buy in.
I would like to believe that every employee would want to work for SAS.
