The objective of the CIMA Strategic Scorecard™ is to pull all the strategic information together in a summarised and consistent format to enable the board to exercise oversight. Thus, all the separate sections shown above would be combined to create a single document. What can be helpful is to supplement this with a cover sheet that lists all the items covered within each dimension in one place. This might sound very simple, but it can be of immense benefit to a busy non-executive director to be able to see all the major strategic issues at a glance. An example is shown below. (PDF 503KB)
