This has indeed been difficult times as a Management Accountant to try to manage  Freight costs, especially from Overseas suppliers. The Freight costs drastically increased due to the prolonged delays to get the inventory in via Sea many companies had to opt for Airfreighting which is more expensive. 

Forecasting is also becoming interesting because we cannot only rely on past data to plan for the future as there has been too many unstable factors which influenced financial results which we need to remove from the analysis. The truth is even after post covid the world is not going to got back to the pre covid normality.
Management accountants are now more than ever very crucial to the organizations, to work alongside Operations, Logistics and Purchasing Managers to achieve common goals
