The article was an interesting read and gave a little insight on how company board's views have changed over the last few years from the buildings  / premises being the most valued asset to now the employees and their talents being highly valued.
The article highlighted the importance of having a diverse board - it gave examples of percentages of female director's views against male directors and the difference of thinking between the two showing the need for a diversity on the board to enable broader ideas and thinking.
There was an importance on being able to recruit and retain talented individuals as this will be the key to success for many firms and nurturing the individuals into senior roles. One of the worries pointed out in the article was that companies were falling short on diversity.
