Of all the stories told by POWs during World War II, one of the most curious is to find that ICWA students took their exams while being held. The article describes the Geneva Convention rules for the process and the difficulties experienced by the “students”. The successful candidates are listed with the June exams 1944 taking place over D-Day. One student achieved the best marks in the full cohort!
