A short but informative article for 'beginners' about credit ratings
with a practical focus (for those who will come across it soon at work).

One of my ambitions is to get a job working in our Corporate head office in Houston, which would mean working on corporate finance deals.

I recognise corporate finance to be an area that I have not yet had much exposure to in my career to date so I will try to make use of my CPD to gain exposure to certain areas in this field.

Due, in part, to the general economic downturn in the energy sector my company has recently seen its Moody's credit rating impaired so this article was incredibly useful in developing my understanding as to the various factors that would be considered by the agency, and also how the scoring system works.
